Sport-a-Thon Kickoff
Thank you for a great Sport-a-Thon kickoff! It was an energetic start to one of our favorite West Rocks traditions. Please refer to Thursday’s ParentSquare post for full details and links.

Intramural Travel Sports
Congratulations to our intramural and travel teams for a fantastic fall season! Our floor hockey team showed tremendous growth, finishing the season with two strong wins, and our flag football team heads into the Championship vs. Ponus on Monday. Will they go back-to-back?!
Quarter 1 is Ending!
The last day of Quarter 1 is Tuesday, November 4, and Quarter 2 begins Wednesday, November 5. Please take a moment to check PowerSchool for updates on assignments, grades, and attendance.

Outdoor Classroom Week for Grade 7!
All Grade 7 students will take part in Outdoor Classroom this week!
Camp Eisner Trip (Great Barrington, MA)
A group of students will be attending the Outdoor Classroom at Camp Eisner from Wednesday to Friday.

Please arrive at West Rocks by 7:15 AM on Wednesday for check-in and departure.

Refer to Miss Sabol’s email (sent Thursday) for packing lists, details, and reminders.
Outdoor Classroom on Wheels (at West Rocks)
Students who are staying at West Rocks will enjoy Outdoor Classroom on Wheels, featuring four rotating outdoor activity stations throughout the day.

Students will be outside all day… please dress in warm layers and wear sneakers.
It’s going to be a great week of hands-on learning and outdoor fun!

YEARBOOK
DIA DE LOS MUERTOS
We are honored to be building a community ofrenda (altar) for Día de los Muertos. This beautiful tradition allows us to create a space to celebrate and remember the lives of our loved ones who have passed. We warmly invite all families to contribute a photograph of a departed loved one for our altar.
How to participate:

What: Please bring a photograph. (To ensure safekeeping, please do not send precious originals.) Please label the student’s name on the back of the photo so it can be returned.

Where: Drop off photos with a homeroom teacher this week.
The ofrenda will be displayed from Monday, Nov. 3rd to Friday, Nov. 7th. Thank you for sharing your memories with our community.
VPA UPDATES
We are excited to announce a field trip opportunity for our 7th and 8th Grade VPA students this December! We have secured tickets for an 11:00 AM matinee performance of the Broadway musical Finding Neverland at the White Plains Performing Arts Center.
This is a wonderful opportunity for students to experience the magic of live theater and see the story of J.M. Barrie and the inspiration for Peter Pan come to life on stage.
Here are the details for the trip:

What: Field Trip to see Finding Neverland: A New Broadway Musical

Where: White Plains Performing Arts Center (WPAC)

When: Wednesday, December 17th

Time: 11:00 AM Matinee (Bus departure is at 9am. Students will return around 3:15pm and should have their own transportation home.)

Cost: $80.00 per student (This price includes the show ticket and round-trip bus transportation.)

Lunch: All students attending must bring their own bag lunch and drink for the day.

Permission & Payment: To reserve your student's spot, you must complete the permission slip and submit payment. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
