Grade 8 Chipotle Fundraiser and NYC Trip
Hello Grade 8 Families-
This Wednesday, Nov. 6th, we will be hosting a fundraiser at Chipotle's new Wilton location (near Michael's and Outback, right past Walmart) from 4-8pm. We will receive 25% of the sales from the evening using our code: 72ZYT3E. We do not get credit without the code. In previous years, we have not done well will these types of fundraisers due to low turn-out.
Please make every effort to support the event and spread the word. Funds from these fundraisers support trip scholarships and the many costs associated with Promotion at the end of the year. Ordering online is EASY and it will ensure we get the credit when you use our code in the PROMO CODE section. I also think you can pick-up mobile orders at the drive thru window! Very convenient!
If you missed our informational meeting, it is still available on YouTube to view. Students who are interested should have a family member complete the interest form. We have 20 students who have signed up. The deadline to express interest is Nov. 27th. This allows us to plan accordingly. If you think there is a chance your child will attend, please complete the form. Once completing the form, please send in your $100 deposit to hold you child's spot on the trip. Deposits can be paid in cash, check payable to WRMS, or money order and brought to Dr. Golding.
This coming week, we begin hearing presentations from various high school programs. Please reach out to myself or Ms. DiCerbo if you have any questions or concerns. Students should refer to the Grade 8 Google Classroom for more trip information and information about high school open houses.
SAVE THE DATE: We will be participating in a Krispy Kreme donut fundraiser from Nov. 22nd-Dec. 9th. Students will receive 50% of their sales towards the cost of the trip. This is a GREAT opportunity to significantly reduce the cost of the trip. Funds raised are applied directly to the student. The top seller will receive an additional $50 off their trip!!!
Please register your child for the Sport-a-thon. These funds support Grade 8 A LOT, especially with the fun year-end activities during Promotion. The goal is to have every 8th grader contribute and participate. I would love to see Grade 8 win!
Enjoy your weekend and don't forget the time change!
