Subject: West Rocks E-Blast - Week of October 14th, 2019 (Spanish Version HERE)

An Important Message from Mr. Reynolds:

    Hello West Rocks!

We had a good week as we move through October. Just a reminder, school is in session on this Monday, 10/14/19 even though it is Columbus Day.

Next week, approximately 180 seventh graders will go to Nature’s Classroom in Colebrook, CT. Students had a final assembly yesterday to review details, bus assignments, and given an information sheet to bring home. Students need to be at school no later than 7:15 am on Monday. Families will pick up students on Friday around 3:10 pm. It will be great experience for all!

Next Wednesday, 10/16/19 all eighth graders take the PSAT 8/9 in the morning. This is the students’ first experience with this type of test. It gives us and families a general sense of achievement.

Our cafeteria and kitchen are done! The staff is preparing for a grand opening on Monday! We are all excited.

The PTA is requesting additional parent members to maintain status. Please refer to information below to join. They have also enabled a new way to raise money through Amazon! Check out Amazon Smile using this link:

We are continuing Breast Cancer Awareness month with our Pink Out! Fridays. Pink West Rocks t-shirts are on sale for $10 in the cafeteria. Proceeds go to our donation. Next Sunday morning, 10/20/19 is another community service opportunity - we have a West Rocks team participating in the Fairfield County Strides at Sherwood Island! Come out and walk with us.

    Have a nice weekend,

    Adam Reynolds
