An Important Message from Mr. Reynolds:

    Hello West Rocks!

I can't believe we are officially out for the summer! We accomplished so much this year, I hope students and families enjoy the time away and get to spend it with loved ones.

As we close up 2019-2020, we begin preparing for next year.

We have four new members of the West Rocks School Governance Council (SGC) based on this week's voting! Congratulations to Chris Mahanna, Juscelino Acevedo, Kim Emmet, and Chelsea Flynn! Thank you for your dedication to West Rocks.

We distributed summer work in math and reading this week. Students are expected to work on khan academy in math and read a minimum of three books preferably from the middle school reading list in preparation for an essay in ELA when they return in August. Both will be grades in the 2019-2020 school year.

The incoming 6th Grade orientation is Monday, August 19, 2019. More information will be shared with those families.

We will be renovating our cafeteria, so you will see construction in that area of the building this summer - very exciting!

Finally, I am happy to share that I have been recommended to the Board of Education to be the permanent Principal of West Rocks Middle School. After a multiple step interview process, I will be on the agenda for this Tuesday's meeting (June 18, 2019).

It has been a great year and our kids have accomplished so much! I am so grateful for all of the support from families and the West Rocks community.

    Enjoy the summer!

    Adam Reynolds
